"From women in Saudi Arabia championing recycling to eco-Muslimahs using the green message to change perceptions about Islam, a change for the better is under way."

Sister's magazine has a sprightly new (or updated) "green" column, and my good friend Arwa Aburawa is their latest eco-Islam writer for this section. In the July 2011 issue, Arwa talked to eco-Muslimahs from around the world who are "leading the change towards a greener concious" in their own unique ways.
"Just as the deen (path) of a muslim is to show he/she is a believer in God, an eco-Muslimah shows through action that she is a believer in preserving Allah's planet." -  Zaufishan, Sister's Magazine, pp.40.
I won't give it all away, but the punch line is: The Eco Muslim was mentioned as one of the Eco-Muslimahs in the magazine. Shukran Sisters and Arwa. May Allah bless all their work.
