I was a little concerned that crafting recycled projects with high school students might be scoffed at. I could hear the disdain, 'reusing toilet paper rolls? Baji Zaufishan, that's not cool.'

But who knew 15 year old girls actually like creating art work from leftover junk? I think I missed that whole 'glitter and pink paperclips' phase in life. It must have begun with my troubled childhood... Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yes, the Dua Jar project for Ramadan. This is how our brilliant class made theirs.

**If our class is reading, a warm salamings and dua for you!

Girls covered empty glass coffee jars with tissue paper using PVA glue. They decorated the top and bottom with wire, beads, ribbon and paper cut-outs. Finally, a title was written or drawn on 'Dua Jar'.

For full instructions read + Recycled Ramadan Dua Jars

To pop in a special dua each day of Ramadan I have prepared a sheet of these Dua strips for download: http://db.tt/aqJ2popA. Two-page PDF document includes full instructions and dua strips to use at your madrassah.

Happy early Ramadan Mubarak!

Peace + eco-jihad.
