Wrap yourself in culture. Go the ethical route for `Eid-ul-fitr with an African-ethnic outfit that is bound to bring the diva out of you.
When I think about my Eid and what "new" things I could be buying, I look to clothing that is ethically sourced. Here is an outfit I would totally recommend because of its FairTrade journey and conscious design. Apart from the tribal jacket which is the core garment, all the pieces come under the £40 price tag and there's no need for accessories since the bold colours lend to the 'woah' factor. Add a little sparkle through a hijab pin or cocktail ring and you're good to go even for salah.

On `Eid day you can't help but smile in awe at the smashing robes, dresses and turbans worn by Muslims, alongside the formal suits, saris and salwar kameez. In my family there's no dress code either so we can often be seen in Middle Eastern attire one day and Indian dresses the next.
Try being a little different this year by absorbing a culture that isn't "yours". Do a hijab swap with friends instead of buying new or be like The Eco Muslim and recycle a pre-worn abaya from yonder years. The value is in the person, not the fabric!
