It's scorching hot in the middle of September. In Britain it snows in April. What's going on?

An important interfaith event in London next week will see people from all faiths unite against this common threat of climate change. It will be great to see which religious views they have in common when it comes to environmental action on an issue that is affecting everyone on Earth.

Christian, Muslim and Jewish campaigners will attend this unique symposium at St Johns's Waterloo in London on Wednesday, September 21st 2016.

A panel of prominent religious speakers will address the pertinent question, how should religions respond to climate change in the 21st century?

The panel includes:
  • Sir David King, the Foreign Secretary’s special representative for climate change,
  • Dr Husna Ahmad of Global who authored 'The Green Guide To Hajj',
  • the Bishop of Salisbury Nicholas Holtam and
  • George Marshall of Climate Outreach.
The climate change event will be co-chaired by Rabbi Natan Levy, Maiya Rahman of Islamic Relief and Canon Giles Goddard, vicar of St John's Waterloo.

The vicar Canon Giles Goddard is a 'green man' himself as he is a member of 'Operation Noah', a Christian charity on climate change action.
“There is a growing hunger among those of all faiths to unite against the common threat of climate change. To get different faiths behind one cause will be powerful and productive. We hope it will be a great meeting of minds.” Canon Giles Goddard, co-chair of the symposium.
In 2014 he was influential in the decision of the Church of England's General synod to engage more seriously with the issue of climate change.
