As-salamu`alaykum dear readers,

Today I present you with some of my favourite things on Allah's green Earth - His flowers.

While they tend to be promoted as effeminate and delicate, I have always likened a flower to the Human bean. This is because Prophet Muhammad, Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, said that people are like plants, deeply rooted and with outstretched branches.

My love for the greener Fitra (natural disposition) is also bound by Allah's verse in His last revelation:
'A Good word is like a Good tree...' (Qur'an, 14:24)

Thus I get a bit miffed when boys say planting seeds is for girls, or when Muslim Imams compare women to fragile fertile flowers.

Anyway, that's today's Ramadan rant. And now -cue museum melody- our garden gallery...

Can you name these flowers?

The last roses from our vines!

Do not touch - these flowers are irritant and poisonous to human contact. Wash your hands after handling!!

Props to the Lumix camera.

Ramadan blessings be with you folks!
In need of your prayers,
Zaufishan.
