Getting back into graphic design was more difficult than I thought it would be. Seven years ago I was faster, relentless, and I wasn't concerned with the materials I consumed and wasted. When you're an eco Muslim you're always aware of your "ethical footprint", which takes environmentalism into the spiritual realm. You ask questions like, "Is this company Muslim friendly? Can I save God's trees by downgrading the textile/paper quality? Should I invest in alternative halal brands?"

I've sifted through a couple dozen services that claim to environmentally friendly and high tech; Lovely as a Tree made it into my "potential top ten" list. I'll collate that soon.

Lovely As A Tree (cute name), briefly explains how "your choices of design, paper and print impact upon the environment."
"We list the steps you can take to reduce your design footprint, we take you through the process of choosing a recycled or more sustainably sourced paper, and we show you what to look for when choosing a greener printer." - LAAT
LAAS also provides lists of the UK’s most environmentally friendly papers and printers, to help make your office supplies green. Things like recycled papers, biodegradable stationery and litho printers that are certified with Green Mark or Green Dragon, help to make a kinder impact in your work space.

I'm still developing my eco-ness in my studio. I replaced my silk inks with non-toxic inks, I use rainwater to wash all my equipment such as brushes, rollers, and I'm looking further into cleaner tech and stationery.

Wish me success! Duas.
